Eerie Enchantment

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a fun Halloween card. This card is part of the Cards for All Seasons hop on Instagram. Go check out the other creators!

I created a scene as if this couple was going to a spooky themed masquerade ball. They dressed up in their dapper costumes, ready for a spooktackular night! I stamped two of the images from Unity Stamp Co. Eerie Enchantment stamp set. I colored them with my colored pencils. For the background, I used gray and yellow colored pencils to give a glow. Then, I used a circle mask and Distress Oxide in Black Soot to ink blend around the scene.

I tore the edges of the scene to create a distressed look. I also burned the edges (please be careful when using fire and paper...you can also ink blend brown ink along the edges or use a distress shaped die). I decided the scene needed something, so I added some silhouette clouds with black marker behind the characters. I used clear shimmer marker all over both characters. On their faces, I added Glossy Accents.

For the layers, I used pattern paper from Unity Perk Me Up paper pack, various pearlescent paper,  and black cardstock I stenciled with VersaMark ink and heat embossed Sterling embossing powder. I tore the top and bottom edges of the embossed piece. I used a decorative corner punch on the red pearlescent paper.

To finish the card, I layered all the pieces at various angles. The scene is popped up on foam. I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Eerie Enchantment set and popped that up on foam as well. Final size is 5.5"x5.5" square card.

I hope you enjoy my card! Let me know if you make any Halloween inspired cards.
