Growing In Unity 2025 Day 3

Hi Everyone! It's Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week! Remember to comment here, FB, or IG for a chance to win a gift credit to Unity Stamp Co. Winners will be randomly chosen.

For Day 3, I was inspired by the Let's Get Lost {border backgrounds} stamp. My husband and I booked a camping vacation this year! We will be going with our dogs, and I'm very excited.

I've used this stamp before, but I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of stamping in black, I stamped in Macchiato by Catherine Pooler. I thought the brown would give a softer look. I colored the imaged with my colored pencils. I blended a bit with a blending stump. To make the clouds pop on the beige paper, I used a Posca white paint pen. I also used the paint pen for random highlights on some of the images.

I inked up the background stamp again where the camper is to stamp onto a piece of scrap paper. I colored that with colored pencils and fussy cut it out. With foam dots, I popped the camper up onto the panel.

I colored in the stamped stars with Scrapbook.com Chocolate Glitter Brush Marker. For the metal buckles on the bags as well as the trim and tire of the camper, I used Nuvo Dual Tip Dot Marker in Black Pearl. I got the marker free as a set from a Scrapbook.com order! To add some sparkle, I used Pops of Color in Snowflake on the campfire flames, sun, moon, and camper trim.

After I completed the coloring, I stamped the sentiment in the center of the open space. I like the mix of fonts. To help make the sentiment stand out, I ink blended what was left on my brown blending brush in the center of the sentiment. I also ink blended the edges of the card after cutting it out with the largest The Ton Stamps Double Pierced Rectangle A2 nested die.

I hope you enjoy today's card! Let me know if you have gone camping.

  1. Such a cute, summery card! Love it. I've been camping a couple of times...honestly not my favorite...I prefer my parents beach house on the coast of Maine...but maybe if I was in a cute camper like that!

    1. Thank you! It’s not as crisp as black might be, but I like the effect.
