Rainbow Hearts

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a colorful rainbow card I made for my best friend's birthday! This card is part of the Cards for All Seasons hop on Instagram.

To start, I ink blended rainbow colors using Concord & 9th inks onto white cardstock. I didn't leave enough room for purple, but I fix that later on. Using the Poppystamps Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame die, I cut the heart panel from specialty black paper with a wave pattern. As you shift the paper, you can see the waves move in the light. I glued the black heart panel onto the rainbow ink blended panel.

In order to incorporate purple, I took a heat embossed sentiment "Thinking About You On Your Special Day" from the Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings set and swiped it into the C9 Lilac ink. I love the One-Go set! You get so many different sentiments in various cut shapes all at once! It makes it easy so I can look through what I've already stamped and cut to look for a sentiment. Some are general enough that it doesn't have to be for birthdays.

I popped the sentiment with foam dots and placed it on the bottom right. I wanted the rainbow hearts to be the focal point. To finish off the cards, I added 5 small glitter enamel dots to different cross sections of the card in matching colors. I seriously have enough embellishments to match anything. I love it!

For the first time, I'm also entering a card into a blog challenge. I've linked this up to the AAA Colourful Challenge Colourboard #13.

I hope you have a great day!
