Cards for All Seasons IG Hop - New to You

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a card a made as part of an Instagram hop for the Cards for All Seasons group. The theme was New to You.

First I pulled out the Opulent Blooms paper pack by Unity Stamp Co. I got the paper as part of their big sale last month. This was the first time opening it. Using the new Kendra's Card Challenges 17, I opted for sketch 9 as inspiration. 

Onto the strip of pattern paper, I stamped the Pure Magic stamp which I also purchased in last month's Unity sale. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. To add a bit more definition, I watercolored the image with inks. I opted for Catherine Pooler Macchiato, Concord & 9th Briar Rose and Cobblestone.

For the embossed panel, I used the Altenew Dotty Circles 3D embossing folder. I inked up an inking block in Macchiato and ran that over the raised dots. It helps to add some definition to the dry embossing. 

I used red liner tape to adhere the stamped strip to the embossed panel. I lined it with some pink glitter tape. Then I adhered the piece onto an A2 muted pink panel. 

The sentiment is from the Unity Happy Hello die bundle. I cut it out of the same muted pink paper and smooshed some Briar Rose ink on top. I did a drop shadow layer in the same cardstock as the dry embossed panel. I smooshed a bit of Macchiato on that piece as well.

To finish the card I added 2 light pink enamel dots from Concord & 9th. They match the pattern paper perfectly!
