Woodland Angled Gatefold

Hi Everyone! I was away on a mini vacation, but now I'm back! Today I'm sharing with you a woodland themed card for a Fall Instagram card hop hosted by Kelly (@createwithkas).

I knew right away I wanted to use the Woodland collection by Craft Consortium for this week's theme. It has such beautiful illustrations by Clare Therese. Many of the papers have shimmer and texture!

For full instructions on how to make an angled gatefold, I followed this tutorial by Karen Titus. I struggled with cutting the panel with woodland animals as I kept cutting off the heads. 😬 After quite a few tries, I managed to get a panel that showed some deer and a robin. The other panel is a nice shimmer laurel green with leaves.

Instead of using paper for a belly band, I used red and white twine. I wrapped it around the card 4 times and tied it in the back. For the large buck on the belly band, I fussy cut one of the images in the back of the collection.

To finish the card, I used a chipboard sentiment with gold foil.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Check out Instagram to follow the hop for more inspiration!
