Fall Wreath

Hi Everyone! Last week I was a part of 3 hops on Instagram! Go check them out in case you missed them. I wanted to share with you how I created the card from Wednesday's #fallfriendscardhop2024. 

The theme for the week was fall gnomes/wreaths/cornucopias. I knew immediately I wanted to use the Autumn Wreaths stamp set from Your Next Stamp. I bought this set as the company was having its closing out sale. The coordinating die was out of stock, so fussy cutting for me! Yes I'm one of those crafters that don't mind fussy cutting (except for sentiments...I can never seem to get them to look as nice). 

First I stamped the image onto Hammermill cardstock. Then, I used some Mint Tape to mask off part of the wreath at the bottom. I stamped the image again and fussy cut the mask. 

Next, I stamped the smallest gnome in the Spellbinders Fall Gnome set. I thought it would be cute to have him in the scene with the squirrels.

I colored everything with my Altenew Artist markers. I also used Wink of Stella in gold for the wreath circle and Scrapbook.com Glitter brush markers over the pumpkins and leaves. I fussy cut the whole image out. 

To mat the wreath image, I used my Brass & Bliss Nested Circle Scallop Nested dies and a sheet of green gradient paper from Honey Bee Stamps Simply Spring paper pad. For the strip behind the image, I dry embossed a piece of brown paper (2 1/8"x5 1/2") with Spellbinders Geometric Stripes embossing folder. I used some thin orange crafting tape like a faux mat to the embossed strip. I adhered all the pieces onto a textured salmon A2 panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped the words Autumn and Greetings from the YNS set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and colored the background with the same blue marker in the fall wreath background. I fussy cut and adhered the sentiment with foam dots. To finish the card, I added 3 matte enamel dots in yellow, orange, and red.
