Fall Colors IG Hop + Giveaway!
Hi everyone! I'm a bit behind this week on my blog posts. Yesterday I was a part of a Fall Colors Instagram hop hosted by Bobbie Sue (@bobbiesue.two38creations).
Various creators came together to showcase our favorite fall colors! Also Bobbie Sue is giving away 2 prize packs! Be sure to follow along the hop and comment on each post. Winners will be announced on Bobbie Sue's stories on October 15th.
Now a little story time. The pictures you see above I took before I decided I wanted to add more. Later on at night, I decided I wanted to add gold splatter. I mixed up water and IndigoBlu Luscious Pigment Powder in Gold Cast. I used my fan brush and splattered on the gold. It looked great until I noticed a spot on the black sentiment strip. Instead of trying to get it off, I splattered more gold. Well that made it look like a mess! Then I got some on the gold mirror strip. I used some rubbing alcohol to get it off which caused the cardstock to bubble and tarnish. I pulled the mandala leaves off to place a new gold strip on the tarnished one. Unfortunately I could see the glue lines underneath. Also given it was very late at night, I didn't want to wake my husband heat embossing a new sentiment. I decided that the original take was good and to go with that. Sometimes I have to remind myself that less is more. Below is a photo after all the splattering.
I hope I inspired you today! Go check out the hop to be entered to win a prize pack!
