You're So Sweet

Hi Everyone! I want to share with you a berry sweet card I made. This card was part of the This or That hop on Instagram.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I made some chocolate covered strawberries! To achieve this, I used the Berry Sweet bundle from Scrapbook.com. I die cut the strawberries with seeds from red paper in the pattern paper pack. For the backing, I used Sizzix Surfacez Opulent Cardstock in Muted Rose. It has a lovely pearlescent shine. In order to create the chocolate dip, I used the open strawberry die and partially die cut brown cardstock. I used my scissors to create a wavy top edge. With Chocolate Glitter Brush Marker, I added a darker color and glittery shine to the chocolate. After gluing the layers together, I covered the chocolate dip in Glossy Accents.

In the same brown cardstock, I die cut a circle with Pinkfresh Studio Folk Edge Circle die. The leaves are cut from a green gradient paper in the Honey Bee Stamps Simply Spring paper pack. I also cut some from a buttercream metallic paper. The Sweet die cut uses the brown and Muted Rose cardstocks. I used the Chocolate Glitter Brush Marker over the brown sweet die cut. I stamped "you're so" in brown ink on the small banner die cut. I layered all the pieces onto the brown die cut circle. I propped the strawberries with foam dots and the sentiments in a double layer of foam. The leaves are layered flat.

I used the same Rose cardstock for the background panel which I die cut with Poppystamps Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame die. Behind the heart panel, I used Sizzix Surfacez Opulent Cardstock in Ivory Brushed Pearl. It has such lovely texture. To finish it off, I added Pearl Stickers from Honey Bee Stamps.
