Cherry Pie Card

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing this sweet cherry pie card I made for the Is It Winter or Is It Fall hop hosted by Dalis (@stamprgrl) on Instagram. The theme this week was pies/baking or beverages.

I started off by creating the cherry pie with the Spellbinders Perfect Pies die set. I like how this set has etched lines for the pie tin and crust. I ink blended a bit on the tin and crust with leftover ink on my blending brushes to give some depth. For added sparkle, I used clear Wink of Stella.

The cherries, title plate, sentiments, and pattern paper are from Scrapbook.com Berry Sweet set. I used the same deep red paper for the cherries as I did for the pie filling. I added a layer of clear Wink of Stella then used Glossy Accents. The stem also has clear Wink of Stella. Using the same paper as the pie crust, I cut the title plate and ink blended the edges. I cut the word "sweet" from the deep red paper and added clear Wink of Stella. The die cut I placed in the center of the title plate. Then, I added the smaller sentiments above and below the "sweet" die cut.

I adhered the cherries to the pie and then the pie and title plate onto a piece of A2 (4.25"x5.5") black and white polka dot paper from the Berry Sweet paper pack. I felt like a frame was needed, so I used the smaller Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Scallop Rectangle Die to cut a scallop frame out of the deep red paper.

In the center of the card I wrapped a piece of brown ribbon. I think it added just the right touch as I felt there was too much space between the title plate and the pie.

Let me know what you think! What's your favorite kind of pie?
